Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs chairs coordination meeting

Manama, November 1 (BNA) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a coordination meeting today headed by the Undersecretary for Political Affairs, His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. The meeting was held in the presence of a number of Their Excellencies, undersecretaries, heads and directors of many government sectors and representatives of the International Institute for Strategic Studies in order to coordinate the upcoming Seventeenth Manama Dialogue 2021, which is scheduled to be held from November 19 to 21, 2021.

His Excellency the Undersecretary for Political Affairs stressed the importance of the Manama Dialogue, which is held in cooperation between the International Institute for Strategic Studies and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event hosts a number of politicians and experts to discuss regional and international issues. He stressed the Kingdom’s keenness to hold the conference in light of the current global conditions due to the Corona virus, praising the keenness of many government agencies to enhance cooperation and coordination for the success of the Manama Dialogue.

The meeting reviewed the coordination plans from various government agencies and the mechanisms used to ensure the safety of the delegations participating in the Manama Dialogue by developing preventive plans and measures to confront COVID-19.
