Foreign Minister receives GCC Secretary-General

Manama, October 19 (BNA) Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani received today the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Dr. Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf, accompanied by the Governor of the General Authority for Foreign Trade and the Director General. The Negotiations Coordinator at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Head of the GCC Negotiations Team Abdulrahman Ahmed Al-Harbi.

During the meeting, he congratulated Dr. Al-Zayani Al-Harbi on his appointment as General Coordinator of Negotiations at the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, wishing him success.

The meeting focused on a number of issues related to strengthening the joint Gulf cooperation process, the conduct of free trade negotiations between the GCC countries, the Gulf Cooperation Council and international blocs, and the efforts made by the General Secretariat to strengthen Gulf relations with the countries of the world.

The meeting was attended by Undersecretary for Political Affairs Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Gulf Cooperation Council Affairs, Ambassador Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Eid.

The ceremony was also attended by the Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Development Affairs Khalifa bin Saeed Al-Abri, Head of the Economic Affairs Sector, and Mr. Abdul-Malik Al-Sheikh, Adviser to the Secretary-General and General Supervisor of Protocol Affairs. Ayman Abdullah Al-Muhanna and Badr Al-Fram, General Supervisor of the General Administration of Information and Communication.
