New York, September 20 (BNA) Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani met today at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Bahrain in New York, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Maldives and the former President of the United Nations General Assembly, Abdullah Shahid, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
The two sides highlighted the bilateral relations and discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Maldives in various fields. The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international developments and issues of common interest.
The minister praised the efforts of the former President of the United Nations General Assembly and valued his support for Bahraini diplomats, Fatoun Al Emadi and Faryal Al Muharraqi, during their one-year service in the office of the President of the United Nations General Assembly.
