Foreign Minister meets Iraqi counterpart

Manama, September 17 (BNA) Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani met with his Iraqi counterpart Fouad Muhammad Hussein on the sidelines of the ministerial meetings held today in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, they stressed the depth of the existing brotherly relations between Bahrain and Iraq, and the progress that the relations between the two countries are witnessing at all levels.

They also reviewed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and advance them to broader horizons in order to meet common aspirations and achieve the desired goals.

A number of issues of common interest between Bahrain and Iraq were also discussed during the meeting, which were attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and the delegation accompanying the minister.
