Manama, October 3 (BNA) Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman. Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, as the Kingdom of Bahrain was elected as a member of the ITU Council for the 2023-2026 session during the Plenipotentiary Conference in Bucharest, Romania.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his pride in this international achievement, which reflects the Kingdom’s progress in the ICT sector and digital transformation.
He also stressed that membership of the ITU Council represents a new global recognition of the positive role of the Kingdom in deepening partnership with international organizations in providing a safe environment to benefit from advanced technologies in support of sustainable development goals.
