Foreign Minister chairs MBMA board of trustees’ meeting

Manama, Mar. 26 (BNA): The Board of Trustees of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Foundation for Diplomatic Studies held a meeting today, chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani.

Dr. Al-Zayani congratulated the members of the Board of Trustees on the blessed month of Ramadan, praising their efforts in supporting the Academy’s training programs, which aim to hone the skills of diplomatic cadres in Bahrain and foreign missions.

He praised the graduation of 118 diplomats during a ceremony held under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Special Representative of His Majesty the King.

He also praised the success of the third edition of the “International Diplomats Programs”, which witnessed the participation of 27 diplomats accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain from 27 countries.

He praised the efforts made to make the program a success, which contributes to highlighting Bahrain’s ancient history, civilization, and its development and reform steps, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Dr. Al-Zayani praised the policies of the government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, wishing the Academy more success.

Director General of MBMA, Dr. Shaikha Munira bint Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa, thanked the Minister and members of the Board of Trustees for their support.

She highlighted the annual report for 2022 MBMA and training programs, noting the academy’s firm commitment to providing specialized certificates in various fields.

She indicated that memorandums of understanding were signed to support cooperation with diplomatic training institutions in Hungary, Greece and the Maldives. It also outlined MBMA’s plans to develop diplomatic cadres in 2023.
