Manama, April 19 (BNA): Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani extended thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Minister for their support for the Ministry and its diplomatic and consular missions, enabling them to perform their duties in serving the interests of the Kingdom of Bahrain and achieving its objectives at the regional and international levels.
This came in a statement made by Dr. Al-Zayani, who chaired the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies.
He praised the Academy’s efforts in providing training programs to prepare and qualify national diplomatic cadres, and refine their professional and personal knowledge and skills, as well as its contributions to strengthening international relations with other countries, especially in the field of diplomatic training.
He praised the Academy’s success in organizing the second edition of the International Diplomats Program “Hospitality” over a period of two weeks, by hosting diplomats from the Asian Cooperation Dialogue countries, and informing them about Bahrain’s rich heritage, diplomatic values, and pioneering democracy. It is witnessing economic and social achievements in light of the comprehensive development process of His Majesty the King.
During the meeting, MBMA General Manager,. Dr. Sheikha Munira bint Khalifa Al Khalifa gave a brief presentation on the most important achievements of the Academy during the first quarter of this year.
She highlighted the Academy’s development plan for the second quarter of events, activities and training programs to raise the level and efficiency of young diplomatic cadres, develop their professional and analytical capabilities, and their political and legal culture, and expand their linguistic awareness, in line with the latest regional and global changes.
The members of the MBMA Board of Trustees expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Academy for its efforts in preparing national diplomatic cadres and providing them with scientific and professional skills and expertise in the context of expanding the foreign policy and principles of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
