Foreign Minister attends GCC meeting

Riyadh, March 20 (BNA): Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani participated today in the ministerial meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council states, which was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting, chaired by Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, was attended by the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council, Jassim Muhammad al-Budaiwi.

The Kingdom’s delegation also included the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Ali bin Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Khalifa, the Director General of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Talal Abdulsalam Al-Ansari, and the head of the Gulf Cooperation Council Affairs Department, Ambassador Abdulaziz Muhammad Al-Eid.

The session discussed issues on the agenda, including free trade negotiations, strategic dialogue between the GCC countries and other countries and global blocs, and regional and international developments.
