First Royal Mechanized Infantry Battalion museum inaugurated

Manama, Feb. 16 (BNA): Under the auspices of the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Museum of the 1st Royal Mechanized Infantry Battalion was inaugurated today.

The ceremony coincided with the celebrations of the fifty-fifth anniversary of the establishment of the Bahrain Defense Force.

He was received by the Commander-in-Chief, Head of the Military Office of His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Abdullah bin Salman Al Khalifa, and Minister of Defense Affairs, Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Chief of the General Staff. Lieutenant General Dhiab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Commander of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion, Colonel Abdul Wahhab Saeed Al Mansouri, and senior officers.

The Commander-in-Chief toured the museum and learned about the important equipment, systems, weapons and technologies in the unit.

The commemorative plaque was unveiled on the occasion of the opening of the Museum of the 1st Royal Mechanized Infantry Battalion.

The Commander-in-Chief was briefed on historical photos that shed light on the progress of the unit and its various developments.
