Finance Minister receives ADFD director-general, praises solid Bahrain-UAE relations

Manama, May 3 (BNA): Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa affirmed that the strong, long-term Bahraini-Emirati relations are based on solid foundations for cooperation and joint coordination in various fields.

The minister praised the steady growth of relations between Bahrain and the UAE at all levels, thanks to the firm interest of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State.

Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa made these statements during his meeting here today with the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, who is on a visit to the Kingdom.

The Minister reviewed with the Director General of the Fund the developments of Bahraini-Emirati cooperation and joint work in the financial and economic fields.

He highlighted the role of the United Arab Emirates and its continuous support for many development programs and projects in the Kingdom, which contributes to advancing the process of economic development in Bahrain forward.

He stressed that the distinguished fraternal relations between the two countries are a role model.

The two sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Kingdom’s Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, in addition to issues of common interest.
