Manama, September 28 (BNA) Minister of Finance and National Economy Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa affirmed the great support that the health sector enjoys among the priorities of implementing major development projects in accordance with the economic recovery plan. He pointed out that work is underway to build on what has been achieved to meet the development requirements in various sectors.
He was speaking during today’s meeting with the chief physician and CEO of American Mission Hospital, Dr. George Cherian, and the hospital’s board of directors in the United States of America. He praised the prominent role of the hospital in providing medical services to citizens and residents in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He pointed out that the project to establish King Hamad Hospital, which was announced within the economic recovery plan, is an extension of the good reputation enjoyed by this medical edifice and its contribution to the health sector.
For his part, Dr. George Cherian and the members of the Board of Directors expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Minister, expressing their keenness to achieve more success to serve the health sector in the Kingdom and support the distinguished relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America.
