Manama, October 5 (BNA) The Minister of Finance and National Economy, Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, praised the constructive cooperation with the legislative authority to serve the nation and the citizen. He said that the joint meetings with the legislative authority confirm the keenness of the executive and legislative authorities to continue joint work to support plans aimed at supporting the national economy to achieve the desired economic recovery and face the repercussions of the Corona virus pandemic that struck the world. .
The Minister of Finance and National Economy stressed the importance of concerted efforts to maintain economic growth and ensure the success of initiatives aimed at enhancing financial stability. He stressed that the best option is always that with limited impact on citizens, especially those with limited income. He stressed the government’s keenness to continue excluding 94 basic food commodities from the value-added tax, in addition to 1,400 government services.
Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa referred to the measures taken by the government, including reducing administrative spending, raising the efficiency of government spending, and promoting recovery and economic growth by committing to implementing the fiscal balance program to achieve a balance between spending and revenues. He stressed the keenness to work jointly with the legislative authority to maintain the path of financial stability and economic growth, create qualitative opportunities for citizens, maintain social support for eligible citizens, and continue to provide quality services to citizens.
