Filipino Writers holds meeting following COVID-19 hiatus

Manama, May 30 (BNA) The Filipino Writers Circle (FilWrite) is back on track after the COVID-19 pandemic suspended its usual activities.

At a recent FilWrite meeting, Founding President Cecil F. Anchita announced plans to continue holding “workshops” for young Filipino writers currently residing in the kingdom, among other activities.

The group held its first On-the-Spot Logo/Essay Writing Contest for Filipino Writers in 2019 in partnership with Rizal Bahrain Knights.

She also displayed some of her literary outputs in a joint exhibition with fine artists at Filipino Creatives Bahrain last year.

Founded in 2019, FilWrite hopes to continue its service to the community under the auspices of the Embassy of the Philippines in Manama.

FilWrite brings Filipino writers together as a convenient place in the Filipino community to engage and allow members to learn from each other with a positive approach to improving their success through print and electronic writing.
