FIBA chooses GCC media committee specialists

Paris, July 25 (BNA) The International Boxing Federation has chosen six sports journalists from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to carry out the tasks of the federation’s media committee.

The Board of Directors of the International Basketball Federation actually approved the committee, as Mazen Al-Buraiki from the Sultanate of Oman was chosen as the chairman of the committee, Abdulaziz Al-Hamar from Qatar as the vice-chairman, Hanan Al-Balushi from the United Arab Emirates, and Iman Al-Turki from Saudi Arabia. Fahad Al-Enezi from Kuwait and Fatima Al-Najm from Bahrain.

Dr. Al-Hadi Al-Sudairi, Minister Plenipotentiary for Youth and Sports in the Council of the League of Arab States, stressed the importance of sports media and its role in conveying the news of the International Basketball Federation and its activities and covering the Federation’s tournaments and international events.


Chairman of the Media Committee, Mazen Al-Buraiki, stressed that the selection reflects the developmental role of sports media in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and highlighted the participation of Gulf teams and athletes in various sports around the world.
