Facilities Supervisor – Maintenance will have a significant impact on the customer experience. The Facilities Supervisor – Maintenance will have the ability to lead other technicians, design solutions to challenging problems, manage external contractors, prepare for emergencies, handle multiple projects and day-to-day activities, and meet challenging deadlines. The Facilities Supervisor – Maintenance will develop plans on how to achieve the objectives of the engineering department.
The Facilities Supervisor – Maintenance will be responsible for the leadership/development and training of the team. Performance management will be carried out by the Facilities Supervisor – Maintenance. This role also leads the technical team in providing reactive and proactive maintenance service on all operational equipment and facility infrastructure within AMZL Distribution Centers. The role has a direct impact on the site, its productivity and operational success. If equipment is not available or is poorly performing, it reduces the capacity and throughput of the site.
Basic qualifications
Multi-skilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines with at least 5 years of experience.
Strong foundational knowledge of PLC based control systems and mechanical components
Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for proactive maintenance planning and reactive task recording.
Understanding of OEE and equipment performance metrics.
Knowledge of legal compliance requirements.
Experience in mentoring and developing junior technicians.
Contractor management experience.
Proven ability to troubleshoot under high pressure.
Ability to communicate (in writing and orally) in English.
Ability to work in shifts in a 24/7 environment.
