The individual is responsible for overseeing all installation, repair, and maintenance of Alpha facilities as well as the day-to-day operation of the laundry operations.

• 24/7 management of maintenance and laundry functions of the business
• Oversee and lead all operations and maintenance operations.
• Track expenses and oversee budget for maintenance.
• Maintain all machines to ensure they are in working standards.
• Create and implement maintenance procedures.
• Perform regular inspections of facilities to detect and resolve problems.
• Plan and manage all repair and installation activities.
• Ensure that all employees in the department adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Set repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates.
• Documenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance records.
• Oversee equipment inventory and place orders for new supplies when necessary.
• Uses technical knowledge to develop relevant business cases for new equipment, when cost reduction, new business, diversification, or repair and replacement is warranted.
• Responsible for developing a business continuity plan, in relation to the plant, facilities and general site risks
• Ensures that preventive and reactive processes are sufficient to always provide a minimum 95% reliability
• Contributes to the planning of the financial budget by providing specific and relevant data on operational costs related to financial management
• Uses his budgetary experience and skills to contribute to the development of capital expenditures for the following year
• Uses industry and supplier base knowledge to collect relevant quotes relevant to tendering processes that lead to optimal selection of contractors or suppliers.
• Responsible for training staff under his leadership and regular and systematic review program to ensure that all staff are fully knowledgeable and skilled in their field of deployment
• Responsible for hiring employees within his departments, and developing succession planning for the team
• Provide appropriate business cases when plant or equipment capacity reaches or exceeds 70% to avoid business growth risks
• Measures actual repair and maintenance (R&M) expenditures and reports weekly performance against budget
• Understands local and federal regulations regarding operating and maintenance procedures for facilities and equipment and is responsible for ensuring site compliance
• Leads, coaches and supports supervisors to ensure optimal daily performance when measured against KPIs.
• Customer encounters, and agrees with the internal supplier’s KPI’s performance with peer group
• Takes a leadership role when the site is in an emergency situation, through a fire or chemical spill, shuts off the electrical current and fully engages with the emergency service throughout
• Prepare and create all relevant technical specifications and work scopes related to the supply of equipment and services to the business.
• Responsible for the effective operations of the work permit program, ensuring the safety of all third party employees, and applying all safety measures
• Ensures that all plant and equipment are measured in terms of reliability and capacity, and that these measures are reported as weekly KPI’
• Implement and monitor the company’s environmental health and safety policies at all times.

salary:

22,000 to 25,000 dirhams per month, including fixed allowances.

• A degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline
• 5 years FM management experience in a catering facility or equivalent
• Experience in a laundry operation is optional
• Experience in dealing with government agencies, such as Sharjah or Dubai Municipality
• Able to demonstrate exceptional leadership and strategic management
• Experience in managing RFQ and contractor and supplier selection
• Previous project management experience, with evidence of financial responsibility for a contract value of one million dirhams
