The facilities coordinator will have a significant impact on the customer experience. The Facilities Coordinator will have the ability to lead and manage external contractors, be on call for emergencies, to handle multiple projects and day-to-day activities, and meet challenging deadlines. The Facilities Coordinator will develop plans on how to achieve the engineering department’s objectives.
The Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for the leadership/development and training of the team. Performance management will be carried out by the Facilities – Maintenance Coordinator. This role also leads the technical team in providing reactive and proactive maintenance service on all operational equipment and facility infrastructure within the Fulfillment Center (FC). The role has a direct impact on the site, its productivity and operational success. If equipment is not available or is poorly performing, it reduces the capacity and throughput of the site.
Basic qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
2+ years of experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports
– 1+ years of experience in root cause analysis and troubleshooting / problem solving
2+ years of experience in a critical infrastructure environment.
Strong foundational knowledge of PLC based control systems and mechanical components
Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for proactive maintenance planning and reactive task recording.
Understanding of OEE and equipment performance metrics.
Knowledge of legal compliance requirements.
Experience in mentoring and developing junior technicians.
Contractor management experience.
Proven ability to troubleshoot under high pressure.
– Ability to communicate (in writing and orally)
Ability to work in shifts in a 24/7 environment.

More than 5 years of experience in operating buildings and equipment
3+ years of experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports
Demonstrated ability to manage, lead and influence others on the team
Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize many different projects and workloads
Experience in managing multiple contractors
Must be highly self-motivated and customer centric
Experience/competence in leadership, ability to direct and develop training plans for other service technicians
Experience in packaging machinery or transportation systems
Experience in an international environment
Knowledge in OEE and EAM tools
