Export Bahrain marks 4 successful years of global exports

Manama, Dec. 27 (BNA): Export Bahrain, the national authority for export development and internationalization support, celebrates four years of leading the Kingdom’s mission to export Bahrain to the world, and playing a pivotal role in promoting export-driven growth by connecting businesses. With partners from all over the world, enabling them to thrive through access to international markets and contributing to the economic prosperity of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Export Bahrain’s four wonderful years were marked by an unprecedented string of accomplishments.

Bahrain based companies have been able to intensify their export endeavors on a larger scale with Export Bahrain’s tailored services and solutions, and as such, Export Bahrain has facilitated over $369 million worth of exports through Bahrain based companies across various economic sectors since its launch in 2018, covering more than 65 unique product and service categories for more than 68 markets around the world, of which only 9 were introduced this year only for the first time, including Cyprus, Algeria, Yemen, Nigeria, Mauritius, the Netherlands and Bosnia, Georgia and Taiwan. This year, the Bahrain Export Authority strengthened and increased export opportunities for current and potential exporters, which included more than 11% of exporters who entered new markets, with more than 10% representing service exports, and more than 32% of Export Bahrain’s customers are from business women.

Since its inception, Export Bahrain has signed more than 40 partnership agreements with local and international partners, demonstrating its firm commitment to putting local exporters on the global trade map.

Based on these achievements, Export Bahrain was able to gain global recognition by winning 7 prestigious international business awards since its inception, most notably the award of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa for the advancement of Bahraini women in the private sector (small projects) category,” Best Export Development Solution for SMEs – Middle East and North Africa 2022″ by UK-based Capital Finance International, and “Bahrain’s Most Innovative Export Platform 2022” by International Business Magazine.

Commenting on the occasion, Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, said: “Today, Export Bahrain celebrates four years since its establishment.
