Exhibition World Bahrain reinforces Kingdom’s status as prominent business tourism destination

Manama, Nov. 23 (BNA): The CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, Dr. Nasser Qaidi, expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his royal patronage of the opening ceremony of the Kingdom of Bahrain World Bahrain exhibition in the Sakhir area, as well as to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad. Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to open the new exhibition.

Qaedi said that the Bahrain World exhibition in Sakhir will enhance Bahrain’s position as a regional leader in the exhibition and conference industry, as it hosts the largest regional and international exhibitions and conferences as one of the largest and most modern exhibition centers in the Middle East.

It will also contribute to achieving the goals of the tourism strategy 2022-2026 within the economic recovery plan.

Dr. Qaidi pointed out that the new Bahrain World exhibition will add great value to the investment system in the Kingdom and increase the contribution of the tourism sector to the national economy.

He added that this will have a tangible impact on revitalizing business tourism, apart from its distinguished design as a unique architectural structure inspired by Bahrain’s long history.

“Bahrain World Expo reflects Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening the kingdom’s position as a global destination for business tourism. We are looking forward to an eventful season filled with major events from various industries that will be held under one roof at the brand new exhibition centre,” he said.

The opening of the center coincides with the launch of three major annual exhibitions.

They are Jewelery Arabia 2022, the largest jewelery fair in the Middle East; Arabian Perfumes Exhibition, which is held for the first time in Bahrain. and Cityscape, also one of the largest real estate events in the Middle East.

The total exhibition area is 308,700 square meters to accommodate different types of events. It consists of ten exhibition halls with varying ceilings and a total area of ​​95,000 square meters, each with technical services and storage space, in addition to independent exits and entrances.

All these characteristics make the center the best choice for hosting many recurring events and exhibitions at the same time, especially since the area of ​​exhibition halls in the Bahrain International Center exceeds the capacity of the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Center in the Manama region by six times.
