Mexico, July 9 (BNA) The former Mexican President Luis Echeverria has died at the age of 100, according to what the current Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador confirmed today, Saturday.
On his Twitter account, Lopez Obrador sent his condolences to Echeverria’s family and friends “on behalf of the Government of Mexico”.
Lopez Obrador did not provide the cause of death for Echeverría, who ruled Mexico from 1970 to 1976.
Echeverria was hospitalized with lung problems in 2018, the AP reports today.
