London, October 22 (BUS): Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored his first goal in five months to lead Everton to a 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace and lose three consecutive Premier League games on Saturday.
The striker scored in the 11th minute at Goodison Park ahead of second-half goals from Anthony Gordon and substitute Dwight McNeill for Everton, according to the Associated Press.
Calvert Lewin, who was sidelined early this season with a knee injury, scored his last goal in May – against Palace in a win that kept Everton in the Premier League. The 25-year-old striker is still hoping to get England into the tournament world Cup.
In preparation for his goal, Calvert Lewin stripped Luka Milivojevic. Then Amadou Onana passed to Alex Iwobi, who spotted Calvert Lewin on the edge of the penalty area. He passed Marc Guehy and beat goalkeeper Vicente Guaita with a low shot.
The winning margin equals Frank Lampard’s biggest win in nine months as a coach.
