about the role

The Senior Data Analyst role focuses on the process of data inspection, data cleansing, modeling, and visualization of data with the goal of discovering and leveraging useful information that can be used to support evidence-based decision making. Our Senior Data Analyst is expected to provide recommendations on the methods and ways in which ETIC leadership teams and stakeholders use and analyze data to improve the quality and usefulness of the available data systems.

You will be able to solve standard problems and common situations, be competent in the daily application of your data skills, and be able to present concepts, information and solutions. With your experience, you’ll only need to refer to a broader network expert at PwC for non-standard issues and issues.
As a manager, you must have strong data analytical, technical and business skills and be able to apply your knowledge to advise senior ETIC stakeholders in line with PwC policies and reporting standards. You must be forward-thinking and be able to develop innovative solutions to support businesses in understanding ETIC’s operational performance.

You will report to the CTO. You will connect with and work alongside other ETIC operations functions, develop a network of key contacts, build strong relationships and develop new skills.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a key role in the following areas:
Determine data requirements to support business issues/inquiries
Define the process of how data is captured and managed
– Collect and interpret data
– Analysis of the results
Identify patterns and trends in data sets
Data visualization to transform complex data sets into meaningful management information
Define new data collection and analysis processes
Develop and implement the best processes and policies on the business intelligence function
Prepare, review and report on monthly operational KPIs to management, including identification of areas that require action and implementation/reporting of these areas
– Business partner representing business intelligence within ETIC – to senior leadership and key operational and delivery management teams, along with being the primary BI contact for investors and corporate services teams PwC Global and PwC Middle East
Managing people and developing others (as the team grows)

Ideally, 5+ years previous experience working as a data analyst in an institutional position
Knowledge and/or certifications demonstrating the ability to work with data models and report packages (eg Google Big Query, Google Data Studio, Tableau / Power BI, SQL)
Ability to analyze large data sets
Ability to design and develop comprehensive reports
Technology enabled by experience using new data reporting technology
An analytical mind and a penchant for problem solving with the ability to develop solutions to technical problems
Focus on continuous improvement in all areas of their work
Agile, embracing innovation and change
Creative, with experience in putting together presentations using PowerPoint/Google Slides for leadership and stakeholder meetings
– Business minded with deep business understanding
– Strong analytical skills
Action-oriented and self-starter
Experience in building strong relationships in a business partnership role
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to prioritize and delegate was appropriate
