Job Description: Estimator – Sheet Metal Works
Job report to: Sales Manager/General Manager
Main objectives
Estimators put an offer as accurate as possible, allowing risking money or working hours for areas
Drawings and specifications that were not scanned before closing the bid.
The duty and responsibilities of the estimator
The evaluator is responsible for the quality of performance of the estimation work carried out.
§ To ensure correct and timely response to quotations to all inquiries and bids received.
§ To ensure that the prices displayed in the local purchase order are correct against the quotation prices and update the sales head &
Concerned team member for any discrepancy.
Job title
§ Receipt and distribution of all incoming inquiries and documents to the relevant sales engineer and sales
Coordination team.
§ Organizing and arranging estimates for all incoming inquiries recorded.
§ Preparing a price estimate and checking for corrections.
§ Preparing quotations
§ Preparing cost per quotation
§ Prepare Auto-Cad drawings when needed.
§ Reviewing quotations, such as discounts, item change, and others, after obtaining the relevant approval.
§ Obtaining the price of fasteners from the purchasing department to prepare quotations.
§ Opening a new account for the client in the ERP is coordinated with the accounts department.
§ Calling customers to express doubts about the inquiry.
§ Respond to customer inquiries via mail and calls.
§ Reviewing the production department to find out the logistical cost required to export the materials.
§ Follow up with the sales team for new inquiries.
§ Discusses the price to be offered with the sales manager/sales engineer.
§ Re-check the quotations and send them along with the cost schedules to the Sales Manager for approval of the quotation.
§ Variables in estimated cost and selling prices should be consulted with the sales manager.
§ Responsible for not creating work orders for an LPO that does not have a signed/approved or valid LPO.
§ Checking and signing the invoices, with the signed copies attached.
§ Ensure that invoices are made for all deliveries at the end of each month.
§ Responsible for reducing the quotation process time.
§ No discounts are offered to any customer/sales engineer without consulting the sales manager.
§ Take care of revised quotations with unit price discounts.
§ Provide commitment to be done in consultation with Sales Manager/Operations/Production Manager
Engineer.
salary:
6,000 to 10,000 riyals per month, including fixed allowances.
Education and experience
§ Must be in possession of Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering with good knowledge of cost &
Appreciation in the sheet metal industry.
§ Should have good knowledge of variable cost estimation of sheet metal work.
§ Be proficient in ACAD and reading engineering drawings.
§ Must be proficient in MS Excel and knowledge of engineering standards relevant to the industry.
§ Must have excellent coordination skills and work under pressure.
§ He must have at least 5 years of experience in the same capacity and speak English well.
