Manama, June 2 (BNA): The Committee for Equal Opportunities at the Ministry of Social Development held its second meeting to discuss plans for 2023.
The session was chaired by Assistant Undersecretary for Community Development Onas Muhammad Al-Majed, stressing the importance of promoting the principles of equal opportunity.
She pointed to the trend towards integrating women’s needs that contribute to achieving gender balance through strategies and initiatives.
She highlighted the importance of building the capacities of civil society institutions and supporting the work of institutions to further integrate women’s needs.
Al-Majed pointed out the importance of reviewing the plans and initiatives of the committee to achieve the set goals, and to meet the indicators of the national report, in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Women.
