England and Germany set for historic Euro 2022 final

London, July 29 (BUS): England vs Germany at Wembley Stadium. A final highlighting the growing stature of women’s soccer in Europe and echoing decades of history, according to the Associated Press.

When hosts England face Germany in the European Championship final on Sunday, they will have a tournament record crowd of nearly 90,000 spectators.

Euro 2022 as a whole will be the best attendance ever. He beat the previous record of 240,000 parts in the group stage.

“It’s going to be a great football fest,” German coach Martina Voss Tecklenburg said on Wednesday. “This is a classic in football, England and Germany.”

England aim to win their first women’s major tournament on the site where the England men’s team beat West Germany to win their only major title to date, the 1966 World Cup.

Germany have won all eight of the European finals they have played in – and thrashed England 6-2 in the 2009 final – but their momentum has appeared to slow in recent years as other nations have invested heavily in women’s leagues.

England scored 20 goals at the top of the tournament en route to the final, more than half of them in two solid victories over the former European champions, 8-0 over Norway in the group stage, and 4-0 against Sweden in the semi-finals.

Beating eight times winner Germany would be the perfect way for England to write history
