Our clients are looking to hire an experienced Engineering Director to oversee their engineering services portfolio, which was recently contracted to deliver a multi-billion dollar express transit project.
This role will provide technical and engineering support to the system maintenance organization, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager’s Office. Ultimately responsible for safety provisions, efficient and effective engineering support services for Doha Metro operations.
In addition, this senior position will perform the day-to-day management of the engineering department and continuously improve the safety and operational efficiency of the system maintenance organization. In addition, the role will implement and manage effective management systems to ensure that all engineering support services provided by the engineering department are carried out in a professional and safe manner.
The Senior Director of Engineering will propose changes to the maintenance documents to improve their activities while carrying out maintenance on the Doha Metro. Concurrently, you will identify and manage obsolescence management while planning components at risk, during the contract period.
This role will create and manage configuration management systems for the maintenance organization; Implementation of ISO 22001 and asset management systems, making improvements and recommendations to mitigate any recurring malfunctions.
The client will be looking to hire an experienced Support Services Engineering Manager, with at least 15 years of experience, able to demonstrate a sustainable track record of delivering Rapid Transit (Metro Line) or rail projects to an international or regional engineering company.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge in ISO 55001 Asset Management System standards and System Assurance Management, particularly for metro line or railway projects. Ideally, you will have conducted aging management on high-value infrastructure projects.
The selected candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Electrical or Electronic Engineering from an internationally recognized university. Candidates with professional membership or legal status will also be considered as priority.
