Employment contracts of 32 Bahrainis signed at Bapco Tazweed

Manama, Jan. 8 (BNA) The Ministry of Labor and Social Development hosted the signing of employment contracts for 32 Bahrainis in Bapco Retail Company (Bapco Tazweed) in supervisory, administrative and technical positions in various gas stations.

The job interviews were conducted last December as part of the second edition of the National Employment Program.

The Minister of Labor and Social Development, Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan, met with the Acting General Manager of Bapco Ziada, Khaled Al-Tayyar, who reviewed the company’s plans to employ nationals. He emphasized that the Bahrainization rate in Bapco Tazweed amounted to 99%.

On this occasion, the Minister praised Bapco’s increased interest in the employment of nationals and the increase in the percentage of Bahrainization in it, noting that the company is an example in making Bahrainis its first choice.

He stressed that the Ministry of Labor will continue to launch programs and initiatives aimed at accelerating the pace of employment of Bahrainis in various productive institutions.

He indicated that the Ministry of Labor plans to employ national labor in promising sectors, within the five-year economic recovery plan launched by the Council of Ministers headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, including the Prime Minister. Create 20,000 Bahraini jobs and train 10,000 Bahrainis annually until 2024.

Acting General Manager of Bapco Ziadeh, Khaled Al-Tayyar, confirmed that, based on the directives of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oil and Gas Holding Company B.S.C. Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the company will continue to employ Bahrainis, praising the role played by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in providing a qualified and trained national workforce.

He praised the discipline and dedication of Bahraini workers, noting that the employment of national competencies will positively reflect on the productivity of companies, citing the positive results achieved by Bapco, an increase thanks to its reliance on citizens.
