Embassy signes deal with Japan Institute for Investment Abroad.

Tokyo, June 9 (BNA) The Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Tokyo signed a memorandum of understanding with the Japan Institute for Overseas Investment.

The deal aims to enhance economic cooperation between the two friendly countries, and encourage Japanese companies to take advantage of investment opportunities in the Kingdom, in light of the economic recovery plan, trade and investment facilities, and major strategic projects whose value exceeds $30 billion.

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Japan, Ahmed Mohammed Al-Dosari, expressed his pride in signing the Memorandum of Understanding with the Japanese Institute, which coincides with the celebration of the golden jubilee of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

He stressed the importance of the deal in enhancing economic cooperation and introducing Japanese companies to the most important investment opportunities available in various business sectors in the Kingdom.

Director of the Japan Overseas Investment Institute Toshiyuki Kosugi expressed his appreciation for signing the memorandum, praising the Kingdom’s strategic location, strong investment capabilities, and opportunities in the logistics, information and communication technology, and financial services sectors.

He described Bahrain as an attractive destination for Japanese investments, looking forward to expanding the investments of Japanese companies in launching or growing their businesses in the Kingdom and throughout the region.

This came on the sidelines of a dinner hosted by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Tokyo, in the presence of Economic Development Board Advisor Ian Lindsey and a number of officials from the Board of Directors and the Japanese Institute.
