Washington, December 15 (BNA) The Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Washington held a celebration on the occasion of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s celebration of its national days in celebration of the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country. The ceremony, which coincides with the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly United States of America, was attended by a number of senior officials in the military, diplomatic and political corps and representatives of the United States. During the ceremony, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States of America, Sheikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, extended his deepest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. In his speech, Sheikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa stressed that Bahrain and the United States have close and historical relations characterized by a spirit of partnership, friendship and solidarity, noting the need to continue work to enhance cooperation, especially in the security field. Trade, economy, culture, etc. He pointed out the importance of the agreements concluded between the two countries, including the joint defense cooperation agreement and the free trade agreement, which contributed to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two friendly countries.
He also referred to the most prominent achievements that have been achieved through this friendship over the past years, the most important of which is the signing of the Ibrahim Agreements, which are in line with the Kingdom’s long history of diversity and peaceful coexistence, where mosques are. Churches and temples of different sects and religions met, in line with the reform project led by His Majesty, which made the Kingdom a model of peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance at the regional and international levels.
The ambassador expressed his pride in the level of the Bahraini-American friendship, which is built on a solid ground of common values and interests, which led to a strategic partnership that is keen to maintain regional and international peace and security as a natural result.
