Embassy in Brussels marks Bahrain Sports Day

Brussels, February 12 (BNA) The Kingdom’s embassy in Belgium held a series of activities on the occasion of Bahrain Sports Day, which was celebrated on February 10.


This step came in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of Bahrain Sports Day.


It also came in implementation of the efforts of His Majesty the King’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the follow-up of the Bahrain Olympic Committee headed by the First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. And Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Sports Authority, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.


Ambassador Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabr Al-Dosari highlighted Bahrain’s initiatives to develop sports and youth initiatives, praising His Majesty for his royal patronage.


He emphasized the leadership’s tendency to promote sports to be a part of the Bahraini society’s lifestyle, adding that the Kingdom has become a model in sponsoring youth and sports at the international level.


The program included outdoor walks in the Bois de la Cambre forest in the heart of Brussels, as well as futsal, basketball and a number of other activities.
