Manama, December 27 (BNA) Public Health Adviser Dr. Kawthar Al-Eid called on all eligible people who received three doses of the COVID-19 Sinopharm vaccine and met the conditions for the second booster dose to take it. She stressed the importance of doing this to enhance immunity, prevent infection, counter virus mutations, and prevent severe symptoms in case of infection.
Dr. Al-Eid indicated that the second booster dose is given to those who received three doses of the antiviral vaccine, Sinopharma, from the age group of 18 years and over. The injection can be taken three months after the first booster dose. She explained that qualified people can choose between Pfizer-BioNTech or Sinopharm as a second booster dose.
Dr. Al-Eid called on those eligible to go to health centers without having to book an appointment to take the second booster dose to protect themselves and society. She referred to Bahrain’s continuous efforts to limit the spread of the virus and its variants. She stressed the need to continue to comply with preventive measures to help fight the epidemic.
