Eight mosques opened in new housing projects

Manama, Dec. 26 (BNA): Head of the Sunni Endowments Council, Dr. Rashid Mohammed Al-Hajri, announced that eight new mosques have recently been opened in housing projects throughout the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He indicated in a statement today that these mosques include three mosques in Madinat Khalifa, two in East Hidd, two in Diyar Al-Muharraq, and another mosque in Hoora Sanad.

Dr. Al-Hajri praised the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the continuous follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He praised the efforts of the government headed by His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to facilitate the construction of mosques and enable their subjects to perform their noble role in spreading moderate religious awareness.

He announced that the council would start appointing preachers, imams and muezzins in the mosques that opened in the new housing projects.
