Egypt, EU probe means to counter terrorism, illegal immigration

Brussels, March 3 (BNA): The Egyptian Ambassador to Brussels, Badr Abdel-Aty, discussed with the Chief of Staff of the European Union Military Committee (EUMC) ways to enhance the strategic partnership between the two sides, especially in the areas of security and defense.

The Middle East News Agency (MENA) stated that they also reviewed challenges and threats of common concern.

The EUMC Chairman praised the pivotal role of Egypt in promoting security and stability in the region.

For his part, Abdel-Aty highlighted Egypt’s efforts in combating terrorism and illegal immigration, stressing the need for closer cooperation with the European Union in various fields.
