Education Minister participates in Transforming Education Summit 2022

New York, September 17 / BNA /, commissioned by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Minister of Education Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, participated in the Education Transformation Summit 2022, which was held at the United Nations headquarters here, with the participation of ministers of education from countries of the world and representatives of states, agencies and international organizations.


The first day of the Transforming Education Summit, September 2022, included plenary sessions, in which the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, participated in an interactive meeting with youth leaders, during which their role in transforming education was discussed.


Also participating in the opening session were the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed, and the President-elect of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Tshapa Korosi.


The summit sessions focused on topics related to the global trend towards transformation in education, and the participants presented many opinions on the most important factors for achieving this transformation, and the required role at the official and social levels.


The run-up to the Summit included meetings convened by UNESCO and other national, regional and international organizations to bring educational transformation in line with global developments.


The meetings discussed matters related to the educational issue that should be focused on in the future. They also reviewed the impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic on the educational process.
