The Minister congratulated the members of the Board of Directors and Minister of Legal Affairs Youssef bin Abdul Hussein Khalaf and Minister of Tourism Fatima Jaafar Al-Sirafi after their appointment by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in their new positions, wishing them success in performing their duties. duties.

During the meeting, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Elections Committee and Vice-Chairman of its Board of Trustees, Dr. Sheikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, gave a presentation on the memoranda submitted by the General Secretariat of the Supreme Committee, which were studied by the Advisory Committee of the Supreme Elections Committee.

The committee approved the proposal of the General Secretariat to develop licensing procedures for higher education institutions by conducting them through the “Sijilat” platform.

It also discussed and agreed in principle on other memoranda submitted by the General Secretariat regarding requests from higher education institutions to launch or host academic programs, including:

The Royal University for Women hosts a Master of Science in Internet of Things, and a Master of Science in Business Intelligence and Analytics, in collaboration with the University of Huddersfield.

– Launching a master’s program in Shariah Accountancy at Ahlia University.

The British University in Bahrain requested the launch of a Bachelor of Interior Design and a Bachelor of Architecture.

The Council also supported, in principle, the request of the Royal University for Women to re-launch the Master of Design Administration and Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Coloring program.

The session also discussed the request of the American University of Bahrain to rename the College of Architecture and Design to the College of Media and Design and asked the General Secretariat to contact the university to ensure that students are not affected by it. Re-name.

It also discussed and agreed in principle to a request by the Applied Science University to construct an additional academic building in Diyar Al Muharraq.

The Board of Trustees also discussed the memorandums of the General Secretariat regarding requests submitted by higher education institutions to approve their signature on external memoranda of understanding, including:
