Oracle is actively seeking an experienced Support Engineer to join our Applications Unlimited Cloud Services team. This team manages and supports the complex, scalable, high-performance deployments of OMCS Unlimited Applications clients that have PaaS and IaaS services in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This position requires prior experience in supporting, implementing, upgrading and troubleshooting skills in a customer facing revenue generating environment. You will have the opportunity to expand your experience at OCI.
As a Principal Support Engineer, you will provide strategic technical support to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The primary focus is on working on disaster recovery requirements for clients who have OCI’s suite of e-business and third-party applications. You will serve as the technical lead providing DR systems to clients at OCI and will work closely with clients as they plan their annual DR exam benefits. You will also be involved in improving DR processes and/or developing existing automation to improve end-to-end DR processes. You must be able to create/use automated technology and devices for these DR activities as well as proactively diagnose, document, resolve and avoid customer issues. You will be expected to be an expert member of the technical problem-solving and problem-avoidance team, which routinely seeks to address highly complex and critical customer issues.

Work requirements:
Lead contributor, individually and as a team member, providing direction and coordination of efforts
The work is sometimes very non-routine and complex and involves the application of advanced technical/business skills in the field of specialization
Technical leadership in delivering DR requirements to clients covering, infrastructure provisioning, DR build/preparation, DR test planning, failover and test support
Experience in E-Business Suite customer support including RDBMS patching
Experience in setting up Oracle Database Data Guard and disaster recovery
Excellent technical judgment and ability to identify problems and suggest solutions
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent with academic distinction
. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Technology Professionals Preferred
Previous experience with an organization that provides 24/7 support
– Ability to work on holidays or weekends when necessary
Demonstrates the ability to deliver successful solutions to projects with complex business requirements
– Proficiency in written and spoken English

Technical skills:
– Manage and troubleshoot Oracle E-Business Suite Application 11510, R121, R12.2 with proven troubleshooting ability
Previous experience setting up Oracle Database Data Guard and disaster recovery
Good working knowledge of Oracle 10g/11g/12c/19c database including patching and upgrades
Good working knowledge of backup and restore with RMAN
Technical experience working with additional Oracle technologies such as WebLogic, SSO, and Apex
Troubleshooting skills for critical database, application, network and system administration issues
Good understanding of Unix and Shell programming
– Previous experience in Ansible
