Donizetti Masterpieces to be staged in Oman

Muscat, March 9 / BNA / The Royal Opera House Muscat announced that Donizetti’s masterpieces will be held at the Opera House.

The concert, celebrating the most famous melodies, duets and initiations of Gaetano Donizetti (1797-1848), will be performed by the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Sergey Smpatian with a group of solo artists.

The program explores Donizetti’s opera canon, delving into the emotional depth of his more serious work and celebrating the wit and fun of his comic operas, according to Oman News Agency.

Renowned conductor Sergey Smbatyan is the founding artistic director and principal conductor of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra and has performed orchestras throughout Europe, Russia and the United States.
