Rixos Doha Qetaifan Island North
Opening in mid-2022, Rixos Doha Qetaifan will consist of a 345-room hotel, along with an 11,000 square meter rental market, a beach club, a theme park, and a water park. The resort will offer panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Set to make its debut ahead of the World Cup, Rixos plans to provide a platform to showcase Qatar as a tourist destination. One of the country’s biggest attractions will be the water park on Qetaifan Island North, the Icon Tower, the tallest tower of its kind in the world, reaching 82 meters in height.
Purchases Manager
This position is responsible for coordinating and managing the overall operations of the Procurement and Warehousing Department to ensure that all assets on the project have adequate supplies to perform their duties in an efficient manner.

What will you do:
– Supervising, training and motivating the purchasing department staff
Ensure that the department works closely with the Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Manager to procure high quality products at the lowest prices
Ensure that all purchase order requisitions are completed and approved correctly
– Negotiate food prices, place required daily food orders and ensure prompt delivery
Create purchase orders based on approval requests and obtain the necessary authorization
– Obtaining competitive quotations and confirmation of purchase availability
Providing the financial controller with a monthly summary of the procurement reports
Coordinate regular inventories with storeroom staff and department heads
– Coordinating the procurement of capital projects with purchasing companies and external contractors
Develop sound supplier relationships
Conduct regular quality control audits to ensure employees perform their duties in accordance with standard guidelines
Conduct checks for food suppliers with the chef prior to registering the supplier as a vendor to ensure supplier compliance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards
Conduct spot audits of receiving and storage areas from time to time to ensure compliance with the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards
Your experience and skills include:
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Management
Minimum 3 years purchasing experience with at least 1 year as a Purchasing Manager
– Fluency in reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
– Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
