Diplomats in “Dhiyafa” program participate in lectures and interactive dialogue with UN Bahrain Resident Coordinator

Manama, March 23 / BNA / The Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies organized, within the second edition of the Hospitality Program, a lecture delivered by the Head of the Americas Affairs Sector, Ambassador Sheikh Abdullah. Bin Ali Al Khalifa, entitled “The Foreign Policy of the Kingdom of Bahrain”, in which the participating diplomats were briefed on the components and pillars of Bahraini diplomacy.

An interactive session was also held with the Acting United Nations Resident Coordinator and Head of Mission of the International Organization for Migration in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mohammed Al-Zarkani. The session was attended by MBMA Director General, Dr. Munira bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Head of Afro-Asian Affairs, Ambassador Fatima Abdullah Al Dhaen, and Acting Director of Studies and Evaluation, Dr. Muhammad Salih Muhammad.

A number of members of the Supreme Council for the Environment in the Kingdom of Bahrain also gave a lecture focused on environmental awareness, in which the participants learned about the importance of contributing to the preservation of the environment from various aspects, and the Bahraini national procedures. To support the efforts of the international community in providing a safe environment for all.

In terms of field visits, the participants visited the exhibition “After a Hundred Years… Celebrating the Founding of the Literary Club” at Al-Hedaya Al-Khalifia School in Muharraq, as part of the activities of the Spring of Culture Festival organized by the Bahrain Authority for Projects and Legacy. Culture and Antiquities, where the participants were briefed on the cultural contribution of the Literary Club and the pioneers of poets and writers in supporting the cultural movement in the Arab world starting from Muharraq, in addition to discovering the features of establishing formal education in the Kingdom of Bahrain since 1919.
