Manama, Dec. 1 (BNA) His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, received a delegation from Rotary International, headed by its President Shekhar Mehta, his wife Rashi Mehta, and Rotary International Director Katrina Kotsali.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Rotary International in serving societies by adopting many humanitarian and social issues that affect the lives of peoples.
He stressed that the Kingdom has supported these efforts by hosting many conferences, in reference to the 2452 Eighth Region Conference, which was held last June under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The delegation expressed its gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak for his support of the Rotary Clubs initiatives and his vital role in establishing the first international Rotary in Bahrain in 1965.
