DANAT receives International Diplomats Program “Dhiyafa” Participants

Manama, Mar. 14 (BNA): The Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gems (Danat) hosted the third session of the International Diplomats Program (Hospitality).

The program is organized by the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies and has received members from 27 countries.

The Director of Marketing and Communications at Dana, Layal Boushahri, accompanied the delegation on a tour of the Danat Institute.

She gave a presentation on the history of pearl diving in Bahrain and its important role in the Kingdom’s economy.

The tour included information about preserving Bahrain’s pearl industry, field work training, pearl testing and documentation, and a gemstone face demonstration.

Bushehri briefed the delegation on Danat’s role in implementing the state’s strategy to revive the pearl industry in Bahrain and its initiatives in the fields of training and certificate issuance services for pearls and precious stones.

The delegation also got acquainted with the Danat Program and its initiatives and efforts in cooperation with educational institutions, NGOs and others.
