Manama, March 16 (BNA) The President of Customs, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, participated in the Conference on Border Management and Technology in the Middle East in Dubai. The event focused on customs digital transformation, trade facilitation, and risk management.
The Chief of Customs highlighted the achievements of managing land customs ports by preparing trucks loaded across the King Fahd Causeway with an average waiting time of 52 minutes in August 2021 compared to 757 minutes in previous years.
He highlighted the objectives of the Customs Strategy 2021-2024 to create a new generation of customs digital transformation and facilitate international trade.
