Copies of Holy Quran in Braille provided

Manama, Mar. 19 (BNA): Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Nawaf bin Muhammad Al-Maawda, affirmed support for people with visual disabilities.

He stressed the importance of supporting their integration into society and encouraging them to recite, learn, memorize and understand the teachings of the Holy Quran.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, praised their care and support for all social segments, including people of determination.

He pointed out that the Ministry provided a large collection of Qurans written in Braille for the blind and distributed them to various mosques in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The minister’s remarks came during his meeting with the head of the Friendship Society for the Blind, Hussein Haider Al-Halibi, the director of the Friendship Center for Blind Children, Ali Muhammad Hajji, the executive director of the Saudi-Bahraini Institute for the Blind, Latifa Issa Al-Bonouda, and the director of the institute, Abdul Wahed Al-Khayyat.
