In this role, you will be under the supervision of the Cash Room Manager, Cash Room Clerk responsible for performing a variety of clerical accounting functions, such as compiling and sorting cash, calculating and verifying amounts, completing daily reports and issuing floats and change order #%s. It will be essential that the successful candidate contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a highly controlled environment and adhere to all park policies.
Main duties:
– Secures all cash items in the safe and properly secures the cash room premises
– Maintains records of daily cash receipts and records of compliance with park policies
– Reconciliation of cash, coins, cards and vouchers transactions with daily exchange statements
Produces daily written reports and summaries as required by the Cash Room Manager, DoF, FC and DoO.
– Match the cash recycling machines on a daily basis and deposit the results
Accurately prepare, process and deliver floating bags and change requests
Investigate and resolve all safe fund errors and report discrepancies to the cash control manager
Checks, records, and views cash delivered by colleagues who are responsible for handling cash
– Basement window service and phone inquiries
Assists in audits as assigned by the cash control manager
Avoids the possibility of theft and inaccurate record keeping through continuous vigilance, employee training and proactive behavior
Reports concerns about cash desk operations or cash handling to the Cash Room Manager, DOD, MoF, and/or FC.
Maintains the highest level of confidentiality

Follow reasonable health and safety instructions.

To be eligible for this role, you must possess the following criteria:
A third-level education certificate in a finance-related field
At least one year of written accounting experience is required
Basic computer proficiency with MS Excel and Word
– Strong integrity and work ethic
– Pay attention to the details
– Strong organizational, arithmetic and written communication skills
– Advanced verbal communication skills
– Ability to work well with others
Ability to work under time constraints and know how to prioritize workload
– A beginner who can work independently and use own initiative
