Job title
The Omani Contract Administrator will be responsible for carrying out all the services that will be provided under the contract.
Manage all QS, QS and CE leaderships.
Ensure the quality of all services to be provided under the contract.
Develop and present key performance indicators to demonstrate the benefits of services.
Provides commercial/contractual/dispute resolution information and awareness to his team.
Provides leave coverage for the Master Quantity Surveyor.
Qualifications and requirements
Minimum academic qualifications:
Must possess any of the following or equivalent at the discretion of the Company:-
An Omani national with a QS degree and 10 years experience as a quantity surveyor, of which at least 5 years are in a managerial position.
QS Diploma or equivalent with at least 15 years of experience, of which at least 8 years are in the Oil and Gas Industry and in a management position.
work experience:
Has a broad range of interdisciplinary engineering awareness required to understand quantity surveyors’ recordings and prepared cost estimates, preferably familiar with company standards and guidelines.
The ability to weave information from a complex picture into a logical framework.
Hands-on experience in database administration and has experience in SAP.
Practical experience in conflict resolution and negotiation strategies.
General knowledge of international and local building practices.
Demonstrate skill in identifying, analyzing and providing solutions for estimating hourly cost problems.
7 years’ experience working on both price schedule and Manhour control contracts and other contract forms in both the design office and site.
Sound understanding of the contracting environment and the competitive market as applicable in Oman.
Good at communicator, presenter, networked and has good interpersonal skills. Excellent spoken and written English.
Minimum of 5 years experience in activity or business sampling techniques and related statistical methods.
Familiarity with the company / Shell standards and guidelines is preferred.
Highly knowledgeable in transferring knowledge of quantity surveying and cost estimating practices to Omani company QSs.
You must have a valid Omani driving license.

An energetic, self-starting person who takes initiatives, has a high degree of personal integrity, a high level of work ethic, good business acumen with appropriate computer skills (familiar with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel as a minimum).

Provide governance and quality assurance assurance for overall SAP input and all QS/CE activities by key fellow QS, quantity surveyors and CE.
Ensure that dealings with external contractors and suppliers during engagement and subsequent relationships are fair, transparent and in accordance with business principles.
– Ensure fair and equitable dealings especially with Omani Local Community Contractors (LCCs) from the Company’s concession areas.
