Summary of responsibilities:
– Reporting to the Head Chef, the primary job responsibilities and functions include but not limited to the following:
– Consistently provide professional, friendly and proactive guest service with the support of fellow colleagues
– Prepare and serve all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to the hotel recipes and standards
Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions in daily working briefings
Maintain proper product circulation in all coolers to reduce waste/damage
– Ensure that warehouse orders are accurate
– Have complete knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils and equipment
Follow kitchen policies and procedures and service standards
Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages
Other duties assigned
Your experience and skills include:
Operator papers or international equivalent is an asset
– Diploma in culinary specialization is an asset
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
– Responsible and very reliable
– Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
– Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
The ability to focus attention on the guest’s needs, and remain calm and polite at all times
Physical aspects of the job (including but not limited to):
Standing and walking constantly throughout the shift
Lots of lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
Kneeling, pushing, and pulling from time to time
Stairs, ladders, and ramps, ascending or descending from time to time
