Comic-tragic ‘I’m Your Man’ wins Golden Lola at German Film Awards

Berlin, Oct. 2 (US): The tragic comedy “I’m Your Man” has won four awards, including the Golden Lula for Best Picture, at the German Film Awards.

The movie asks if it is possible to fall in love with a robot. He also won awards for screenplay and directing, while Maren Eggert won the Lola Award for Best Actress.

Eggert plays a scientist who tests a robot as a partner in the film.

The German Film Award is considered the most important national award in the industry, according to the German news agency (dpa).

Oliver Masucci was honored as the best actor for the German drama “Enfant Terrible”.

The award for best documentary went to “Mr. Bachmann and His Class,” which depicts the relationship between an elementary school teacher and his students.

In addition to the comedy “I’m Your Man”, five more films went to the main prize: literary adaptations “The Royal Game” and “Fabian – Going to the Dogs”, as well as the satire of the secret service “Curveball”. And two dramas, “And Tomorrow the Whole World” and “Je suis Karl”.

For the first time since the beginning of the epidemic, the award ceremony was held in the presence of a large number of audience, with an invitation of about 1,200 people.
