Manama, Nov. 20 (BNA): The Commander of the Coast Guard, Brigadier General Jassim Muhammad Al-Ghatem, inaugurated the 16th course for Captains of Fast Ships at the Maritime Training Pavilion. Seventeen members of the Bahraini Coast Guard, the Royal Guard and the Royal Bahraini Navy participated in the meeting, as well as members of the Coast Guard from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman.
The Coast Guard Commander delivered the opening speech in which he highlighted the objectives of the Coast Guard courses within the annual plan to enhance the efficiency of the workforce. The 17-week course includes lectures on ship operating techniques and basic marine resources.
