China’s foreign trade up 5.8 % in first four months

Beijing, May. Today, Tuesday, official data showed that China’s total imports and exports grew by 5.8 percent year-on-year to 13.32 trillion yuan in the first four months of 2023.

Xinhua added that exports grew 10.6 percent year on year while imports rose 0.02 percent in the first four months.

Foreign trade in US dollar terms totaled 1.94 trillion US dollars in the period, down 1.9 percent year on year, according to the General Administration of Customs.

In April alone, foreign trade increased by 8.9 percent year on year.
