Guildhall is working with a long-term client in Bahrain to help them identify the CFO.
This is a brand new position as part of the expansion plans put in place by the Family Ownership Group.
The CFO will be required to:
– Monitoring the daily accounting and financial transactions of the group
– Preparing financial statements and management reports
Maintaining accounting control and ensuring that all transactions are appropriately classified
– Ensure the accuracy of accounts receivable and payable
– Budgeting and monitoring the cash flow of the group
Analyze spending and revenue trends and make recommendations to maintain spending control
Analyze variances in budgets against actual values and report to management
Liaise with internal and external auditors and ensure accurate documentation is maintained for audit purposes
Agreeing to extend the deadline for students to pay fees
– Reviewing and approving petty cash payments and reviewing expenses periodically
Make recommendations to improve the process.
Ensure adherence to Group policies and procedures by all employees
Overseeing and approving departmental budgets
In order to be considered for this role, applicants must be able to demonstrate the following skills, qualifications and experience:
– Accounting degree or equivalent
Professional Accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CA or equivalent are an added advantage
– At least 15 years of experience in finance and accounts
– Experience in group sector contract a plus
Strong leadership skills and a proven track record in team management
– Strong commercial acumen
